Job Overview

A design management role is available for a top-tier commercial builder in Sydney. The company operates across various sectors including commercial, residential, education, industrial, health and government.


Key Responsibilities
  • Select and engage consultants to produce construction documentation
  • Manage consultants and coordinate the documentation process with them
  • Run design meetings and follow up on issues raised by consultants
  • Hand over documentation to the construction team and assist during construction on design queries
  • Manage client relationships throughout the design and construction process

Essential Qualifications
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in design management
  • Prior experience working for a head contractor is essential
  • Experience within ECI and Tender Phase as well as the Construction & Delivery Phase is advantageous
  • Strong value engineering and buildability mindset
  • Experience working on new-build construction projects valued at $30M+
