Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Production Engineer to provide critical operations support across our Sydney and Wagga Wagga Operations Centres. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of diverse chemical and gas production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support engineering activities across multiple production facilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Conduct thorough HAZOPs and risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance and identifying potential hazards.
  • Manage end-to-end project delivery, including design, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and EMOC processes, to ensure seamless execution.
  • Prepare and manage capital expenditure proposals, aligning with organizational objectives and goals.
  • Investigate incidents and support audits, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting and reliability support to maintenance teams, ensuring optimal equipment performance.
  • Perform monthly gas-loss reporting and implement corrective actions, minimizing financial losses and environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with Production and Maintenance teams to achieve safety, compliance, and productivity targets, driving business growth and success.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical/Process Engineering, with a strong academic record.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the gas or related industry, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Experience in hazardous plant operations or MHF facilities is highly regarded, as is knowledge of Process Hazard Analysis and Australian Standards.
  • Familiarity with NSW WHS Act 2011 and WHS Regulation 2017, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Cross-disciplinary knowledge, including PLCs and electrical systems, is an advantage, enabling collaboration and innovation within the team.
