Job Title: Mill Operator

At our Lara facility, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mill Operator to join our production team.



Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start their career in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and compliant receipt of raw materials and premixes, monitoring production levels, and efficiently packing and labelling finished products.



The ideal candidate will possess strong literacy and numeracy skills, with a solid understanding of site safety policies and procedures, as well as basic knowledge of OH&S and environmental regulations.



Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily inventory reconciliations and provide accurate reports to management.
  • Participate in regular stocktakes and ensure all discrepancies are promptly addressed.
  • Operate the raw material receival computerised production line, maintaining plant and equipment to specified standards.
  • Perform routine Raw Material testing requirements and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Accurately allocate S4s and premix additions.
  • Identify and report any non-conformances or deviations from established procedures.
  • Unload transport vehicles and maintain a clean and organised work area.


Requirements:
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Understanding of site HACCP Plan and safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of OH&S and Environmental Policies and Legislation.
  • Sound computing skills.
  • Able to work on a rotating shift roster.
  • Current Forklift driver licence (desirable).
  • Cert 4 competitive systems (desirable).
