Job Description

Des's Group is a family-owned business with over 50 years of experience in personal transport. We offer various services, including simple A to B transfers and corporate or backpacker tour options.

As a Taxi Driver with Des's Group, you will be responsible for ensuring passengers receive safe, enjoyable trips at all times. You will be working with a passionate and forward-thinking team, using modern air-conditioned vehicles, and benefit from full training and support to obtain your driver accreditation.

This role is ideal for a motivated and customer service-oriented individual who is well-presented and flexible towards working hours. You will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager and will have the responsibilities of:

  • Providing and maintaining a safe workplace in accordance with OHS policies and procedures
  • Providing a professional level of service in-line with PTD rules and regulations
  • Ensuring the passenger receives a safe, enjoyable trip at all times
  • Delivering a level of service that exceeds our customers' expectations
  • Ensuring smart working practices are followed to ensure good return per km

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A full SA drivers licence (essential)
  • A Small Passenger Vehicle Driver Accreditation (not essential but an advantage)
  • A proven safe driving record
  • Well-developed personal communication skills
  • High level of customer service skills
  • Good record keeping skills
  • Good money handling skills
  • The ability to listen and communicate well
  • A good understanding of Australian Road Rules
  • A good, sound working knowledge of the local town, streets, areas, and activities
