Gallery Assistant

We are seeking professional and friendly staff to join our Art Gallery team as Gallery Assistants with key responsibilities involving Front of House, Invigilation, Public Programs and Events.

  • Assist in the daily operation of the gallery and provide customer service duties always ensuring a highly presentable and welcoming reception.
  • Provide a courteous and effective service to the visiting public including information about exhibitions and public programs and addressing enquiries.
  • Provide invigilation for the gallery including exhibitions, weekends and some out-of-hours duties for events and public programs.
  • Administrative duties associated with the role.
About You
  • You will need qualifications and experience relevant to the role in the following sectors: Arts, Customer Service, and retail.
  • You must hold a Responsible Service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Experience in retail sales and familiarity with accounting software is highly desirable.
  • You should have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • You must be highly motivated and enthusiastic.
