Job Description:The role of Distributed Systems Engineer at Pyramid Global Technologies is a challenging and rewarding position that involves designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on-call activities to ensure the operational health of supported applications, partnering with development teams to ensure smooth releases and change planning, and contributing to operational improvements such as enhanced monitoring or automated recovery scripts.
This position requires a high level of understanding and broad knowledge of computer technology, software development, operations, and problem resolution procedures. Strong programming skills in scripting languages like Shell, Python, or Perl are preferred, along with basic knowledge of operating systems and networking (Linux, TCP/IP, HTTP, Socket, VPN, Firewall, etc.). ITSM experience is preferred but not required, and Oracle Database and SQL skills are essential. Java experience is nice to have but not required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- A high level of understanding and broad knowledge of computer technology, software development, operations, and problem resolution procedures.

- Any help desk or customer contact skills or experience preferred.
