This position is open to both Australian residents and international applicants who possess a qualification in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

About the Role:

As an Occupational Therapist at Mediix, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients develop, recover, and maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. You will work collaboratively with our team to provide high-quality, client-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive needs to inform treatment plans.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans and goals that cater to each client's unique needs and circumstances.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and monitor progress towards client outcomes.
  • Educate clients and their families on strategies and techniques to support independence and improve quality of life.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans to ensure seamless collaboration with healthcare professionals.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care that addresses the full spectrum of client needs.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and continuing education opportunities to enhance your expertise and contribute to the growth of our team.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (Bachelor's or Master's).
  • Current registration with AHPRA or eligibility to apply (completed stage 1 desktop assessment).
  • English language proficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • A patient-centered approach to therapy that prioritizes the unique needs and experiences of each client.
