Warehouse Manager Opportunity at DB Schenker

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our team in Hoxton Park, Australia.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to take charge of our warehouse operations, drive efficiency, and ensure exceptional customer service.

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring they run smoothly within budget and at peak efficiency.
  • Plan and manage product distribution activities, overseeing the DC team and implementing effective processes to meet customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase profitability and efficiency, including continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing inventory, monitoring cycle counts, and conducting monthly stock audits.
  • Training and managing the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and achieve short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Collaborating with the Operations team to drive improvement outcomes and enhance the overall performance of the site.
Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • A proven track record in warehouse management, preferably in a 3PL or distribution environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to apply business theories to practical situations.
  • Proficiency with warehouse systems (RF technology, WMS, ERP) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, team motivation, and strategic goal achievement skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
