CPC Engineering is seeking a skilled Rigger to join our team of professionals who support our clients in maximizing the efficiency, productivity, and safety of their operations.
The success of our operations relies on a collaborative approach to projects, and as a Rigger, you will have the opportunity to work closely with and support a range of qualified tradespeople to achieve project success.
Key Responsibilities
As a Rigger, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, and use of rigging gear, including cables, ropes, slings, pulleys, and winches, to lift, lower, move, or position heavy machinery, structural steel, and other loads.
You will primarily work outdoors on mine and construction sites, but may also work on other sites as directed.
Additionally, you will drive the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment and ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with industry best practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- Recognized qualification in Rigging (High Risk Work License with SB, SI, or SA endorsement)
- Valid Working at Heights certificate issued within the last 18 months
- Previous experience in an engineering or mining environment
- Recognized training in a mechanical discipline, with evidence of achievement in this field
- Ability to handle a wide range of basic mechanical tasks and work independently or as part of a team
- Maintain a high standard of physical fitness, with the ability to lift moderately heavy items
- Ability to work in remote locations
- Current WA drivers' license; a HR License is preferable but not essential
