About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to operate and maintain gas facilities and pipelines. The successful candidate will have a trade qualification and proven experience working as a member of an Operations and Maintenance team in the gas transmission or gas processing industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out operations and maintenance activities on pipelines, compressor/processing facilities, and receiving/regulating stations.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies.
  • Operate and maintain high-pressure natural gas equipment and gas quality monitoring equipment.
  • Maintain electronic measurement instruments, valves, and other mechanical equipment associated with gas transmission.
  • Patrol and maintain the pipeline right of way.
  • Liaise with landholders and public authorities.
  • Perform a wide variety of pipeline duties, including mechanical work, documentation, and records maintenance.
  • Inter/intra-state travel may be required.

About You

The successful candidate will have a trade qualification, a drivers license, and relevant experience working in the gas transmission or gas processing industry. They will also possess strong computer skills and a safety-focused attitude.
