Insurance and Financial Compliance Specialist

**About the Role**
We are seeking an experienced Insurance and Financial Compliance Officer to join our team at Flexhive. As a key member of our compliance team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our financial claims processes and ensuring adherence to financial frameworks.
This is a customer-facing role, requiring you to interact with the public, insurance providers, and various stakeholders with professionalism and diplomacy. Under the guidance of our Manager of Financial Compliance and Insurance, you will provide claims management advice based on state legislation and organisational procedures while performing additional financial compliance duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and assess claims with accuracy, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organisational procedures.
- Reconcile payments, support financial processes, and ensure accuracy and integrity in claims.
- Provide expert advice to the public, third parties, and insurance companies on claims and insurance matters.
- Negotiate insurance recoveries to minimise costs and premiums.
- Offer recommendations on claims management and ensure a positive customer service experience.
- Ensure compliance with insurance policies and guidelines for various types of claims.
- Support financial compliance projects, respond to audits, and provide reports as needed.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, and/or insurance qualifications.
- Experience working in a finance role is required, but no prior experience in the insurance industry is necessary.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and Excel skills.
