Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Animator to join our team at Technicolor Home Entertainment Services. As a key member of our animation department, you will be responsible for leading a team of animators and ensuring the artistic vision of our projects is respected.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership
  • Manage a team of animators and provide guidance and support to ensure they meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the animation supervisor to develop and implement animation styles and techniques.
• Artistic Direction
  • Review and provide feedback on animator work to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of film language, storyboards, and layout processes.
• Project Management
  • Plan and coordinate animation production schedules and deadlines.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality animation.
• Recruitment and Training
  • Assist in the recruitment process for animation positions.
  • Provide training and guidance to new animators to help them develop their skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in 3D/feature animation using Maya.
• Excellent understanding of film language, storyboards, and layout processes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to an established studio pipeline and tools.
• Willingness to help train artists and encourage them to grow technically and artistically.
