Job Title: Digital Heritage Professional

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to lead the development of digital services and capacity building in the local archive sector.

The successful candidate will have expertise in managing digital content from acquisition to dissemination, as well as experience in facilitating collaboration between national and local services for efficient digital delivery.

  • Digital Content Management: Develop skills, policies, infrastructure, and workflow procedures for managing digital content from acquisition to dissemination.
  • Collaboration and Partnership Building: Facilitate collaboration between national and local services for co-operation and efficiency in digital delivery.
  • Capacity Building and Skill Development: Provide advice and support to local museums and libraries on managing born digital and digitized collections and adapting service delivery models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for digital archive initiatives.
  • Capacity Building and Skill Development: Design and deliver training programs for local archives on digital skills and competencies.
  • Digital Services Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain digital services that meet the needs of local communities.
  • Collaboration and Partnership Building: Foster partnerships between national and local services to leverage resources and expertise.
  • Advice and Support: Provide expert advice and guidance to local museums and libraries on digital collection management and service delivery.
