Maintenance Services Assistant

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Respect Aged Care team as a Maintenance Services Assistant, focusing on implementing and coordinating an efficient maintenance program for buildings, equipment, and grounds at our residential aged care homes and/or retirement villages.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance Program Coordination: Develop and manage a preventative and corrective maintenance schedule to ensure facilities are safe, to standard, and in good working order.
- Facilities Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks, including garden maintenance, to ensure public areas, grounds, and equipment are well-maintained.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and gardening programs.
- Asset Management: Assist in the maintenance of an up-to-date asset register and contribute to refurbishment, equipment replacement, and capital works planning.
- Preventative Maintenance: Identify and document preventative maintenance requirements and ensure actions are taken according to legal requirements and documented schedules.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- General Maintenance Skills: Proven experience in general maintenance and gardening, with a focus on safety and quality.
- Driver's License: Current driver's license is essential for this role.
- Police Certificate: Current national police certificate or ability to acquire.
- Maintenance Program Knowledge: Knowledge or experience in establishing and coordinating a maintenance program, with a focus on preventative and corrective action.
- Trade Certificate: Accredited trade certificate relevant to the position.
