Senior Waste Management Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Waste Management Specialist to join our team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will have expertise in waste management and resource recovery strategy, with a strong ability to lead technical inputs and provide specialist advice.

Job Description:

As a Senior Waste Management Specialist, you will work closely with the senior team to deliver quality environmental outcomes, practical waste, resource recovery and recycling solutions, and other advisory services to internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical inputs to waste management and resource recovery strategy for private industry and local, state, and country governments.
  • Conduct data analysis and review complex datasets.
  • Prepare high-quality documents associated with waste facility master planning.
  • Project manage small to medium projects to produce high-quality strategy, market assessment, technology, and other advisory documentation.
  • Deliver waste management plans and associated documentation for developments.

Requirements:

To be successful as a Senior Waste Management Specialist, you will need:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science or a related field.
  • 12-15+ years' practical experience in the field of Waste and Resource Recovery/Recycling management with significant demonstrated skills in the areas of waste data analysis, strategy, due diligence, market assessments, report writing, and environmental assessments.
  • Working knowledge of Australian and New Zealand environmental legislation and policies, standards, and guidelines with particular weight put on knowledge in Queensland.
  • Strong capabilities in waste advisory.
