About the Role

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of large projects, from initiation to closure. This involves defining project scope, approach, planning, organizing, and technically leading and controlling project completion.

This role requires a high degree of autonomy, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring preparation and completion of large projects to appropriate quality standards within time constraints, meeting contractual requirements.
  • Managing project teams operating on complex projects, typically in a multi-platform technical environment.
  • Coordinating documentation, design, development, and testing of enhancements and new development projects.
  • Tailoring project methodology to individual projects when needed.
  • Preparing project budgets, attaining necessary approvals, and monitoring project financials and the realisation of defined project benefits.
  • Exceeding stakeholder expectations through the application of stakeholder management disciplines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience working on large complex projects.
  • Ability to build and lead collaborative project teams to achieve organisational goals and objectives.
  • Broad and deep understanding of technical infrastructure projects and related technology dependencies.
  • Strong communication skills with proven experience of managing various stakeholders of all levels.
  • Strong financial management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs and project revenue.
  • Experience working with Agile, Staged, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Previous experience with ERP, CRM, or EDW projects will be highly regarded.
