Job Opportunity
">The Research Associate position offers a unique opportunity to maintain and develop scholarly research and professional activities through defined projects, contributing towards teaching and learning in the School.
">This role is based at the UNSW Water Research Centre within the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, reporting to Professor Richard Stuetz with no direct reports. The position requires collaboration with industry stakeholders and a demonstrated ability to work constructively with practitioners in the Australian water and resource industries.
">Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting high-quality academic research and undertaking independent and applied research with limited supervision
- Maintaining and developing scholarly research and professional activities through the pursuit of defined projects
- Contributing towards teaching and learning in the School, including undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Building effective relationships with colleagues, students, and external stakeholders
Applicants should have a PhD in Environmental Engineering, relevant work experience, and demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the following research areas: air quality and treatment; water quality and management; chemical and sensory odorant analysis; data science including bioinformatics and/or machine learning.
