We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at our Braeside facilities, overseeing the control and flow of inventory within the business.
This role requires a strong understanding of inventory management software and systems, as well as intermediate to advanced Excel capabilities. Experience using ERPs with SAP is advantageous.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control inventory to ensure adequate stock for business operations.
- Ensure inventory movements have been recorded systematically and accurately to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Identify and manage finished goods approaching shelf life.
- Manage goods on hold, ensuring recorded status is accurate and goods are released within agreed timelines.
- Ensure 3PL's inventory aligns with the company's stock control systems.
- Stock Management: Manage the end-to-end monthly stock take program.
- Set up and manage periodic stock counts and audits, ensuring system accuracy and reconciliation.
- Monitor receivals, dispatches, transfers, and replenishments, ensuring accuracy throughout.
- Develop trend reports to support root cause analysis.
- Data Analysis: Analyse inventory data to forecast demand, identify trends, and mitigate potential shortages or overstock situations.
- Process Improvement: Drive continual avenues of cost-saving initiatives.
- Implement and refine inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on inventory status, supply chain performance, and operational efficiency.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Experience using ERPs with SAP is highly desirable.
- A high level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
