The Operational Integrity Engineering team within the LPG business is focused on developing and maintaining integrity controls and asset strategies.
They are responsible for ensuring that the right projects are executed to meet operational and customer needs while acting as technical authorities and advisors on change and risk.
This team is part of the LPG Business Unit and reports through Origin's Energy Supply & Operations Division.
Their key role involves implementing and managing the Asset Management System, which includes Project Systems, Integrity and Technical Standards, Maintenance execution processes and tools, and Asset Information Management.
The team's objective is to ensure that sites operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with regulatory and corporate standards, fulfilling process safety obligations.
Additionally, they set the operational standards for the LPG Business Unit, guiding how the business operates and maintains its assets.
This role will also be responsible for:
- Asset Management: Develop and implement projects to ensure asset reliability and integrity, meeting sponsor requirements.
- Support LPG Team: Provide engineering and technical support for LPG assets, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
- Standards Implementation: Ensure assets meet minimum operational standards and are integrated into the asset management system.
- Incident Investigation: Participate in incident investigations and governance activities as directed.
- Project Execution: Identify and manage projects to optimize capital utilization, ensuring timely and within-budget completion of new and existing assets.
- Regional Oversight: Oversee engineering activities across the region.
- Maintenance Support: Assist in developing practical standards and procedures for maintenance personnel.
- Service Provider Relations: Build and maintain relationships with service providers involved in design, inspection, engineering, construction, and maintenance of new or existing facilities.
- Process Safety Alignment: Collaborate with the Process Safety Team to align projects and provide technical support.
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Asset Integrity Engineer.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline.
- Integrity and Project Engineering experience in petroleum and gas industries.
- A minimum of 7 years' experience working in an engineering environment in the power, gas or petroleum industry.
- RPEQ certification, chartered status and PMI certification highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Regulations, and compliance with MHF requirements highly beneficial.
- Experience with multi-trades workforce and efficient project management.
