About this Role:

Clinical Assessment and Support

We are seeking a skilled Clinician to join our team. In this role, you will provide clinical assessments, support & evidence-based therapy to asylum seekers and refugees.

This includes:

  • Delivering clinical expertise to support clients from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds
  • Assessing clients' cognitive, emotional, behavioural and daily living capabilities through formal and informal assessments.
  • Supporting clients through major life transitions with skill-building and coping strategies through individual and group therapy
  • Tracking client progress and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure ongoing, effective support & care

In addition to providing clinical services, you will also provide training and guidance to caseworkers and staff on therapeutic approaches and incident management. This is a key position in helping clients within our program navigate life transitions, improve their mental health, and achieve their goals while waiting for visa decisions.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for individuals who possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology with registration or eligibility for registration as a psychologist in Australia
  • Clinical or forensic psychology experience, with a strong understanding of clinical governance frameworks
  • Experience working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) and Diverse Backgrounds
  • Skilled in collaborative work with multidisciplinary and external support agencies
  • Experienced in delivering flexible, client-focused interventions, including outreach and e-health
  • Ability to implement client and family-centred approaches, with cultural sensitivity towards diverse communities
  • Current driver's licence
