About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our client's team in Parramatta, NSW. The successful candidate will provide electrical engineering and project management expertise to drive and deliver electrical safety improvement under a program of works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and track project plans to ensure optimal quality, cost, and schedule are maintained in accordance with project delivery frameworks.
  • Ensure all activities are undertaken with the safety of staff as the number one priority and always role model safe behaviour.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop technical specifications and scope of works for internal and external delivery partners.
  • Apply quality assurance processes and develop tools and templates to ensure all outcomes of safety and condition audits, engineering studies, and asset identification works are delivered and documented in a standardised manner.
  • Produce and/or update drawings, operating and maintenance manuals, and other relevant artefacts in a timely manner and meet specifications or other requirements of the business.
  • Review and address recommendations produced by consultants in a timely manner with immediate prioritisation of safety risks.
  • Work collaboratively with budget owners, subject matter experts, and all internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all teams are working cohesively toward the achievement of set strategic objectives and timeframes.
About You

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor degree or higher in electrical engineering.
  • Extensive understanding of the water industry.
  • Knowledge of PMBOK or Prince 2 methodologies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards including WHS as they relate to the design and delivery of engineering aspects of range of operation and capital projects.
  • Knowledge of electrical power distribution systems.
  • Ability to interpret, assess, and review engineering designs, studies, drawings, and other work methodologies to ensure compliance with standards and meet required objectives.
  • A current NSW Driver's License.
