Job Summary

A global financial institution is seeking a highly skilled Fund Accounting Oversight Specialist to join their funds management services arm on a 15-month contract. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Tax Division and work closely with Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Tax Services functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the flow of deliverables through to year-end.
  • Manage timetabling, tracking, and reporting progress.
  • Gather year-end requirements from all stakeholders.
  • Manage log of outstanding issues/actions for the department.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with all business coordinators.
  • Conduct review post year-end.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role and/or ≥ 5 years' experience at manager level, in a fund administration, custody, or investment operations environment.
  • Awareness of all aspects and functions of a master custody environment.
  • Strong understanding of the key concepts:
    • Unit Pricing
    • Regulatory and Statutory Reporting
    • Tax Reporting
    • Valuation and Accounting
    • Distributions of Taxable Income Calculations
  • Technical Accounting Ability
  • Exceptional Excel skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Sound numeracy abilities.
  • Degree or Diploma qualified in Business or Accounting fields would be highly preferable.
