Operational Role in Waste Management

Job Overview

This role is part of a program designed to increase women in operational roles, providing intensive training and ongoing support for 12 months.

  • The paid 5-week program includes obtaining relevant certifications, uniforms and personal protective equipment, and internal driver training.

As a Driver, your responsibilities include operating a collection vehicle, loading and unloading waste, delivering loads to disposal facilities, providing high customer service, maintaining vehicle presentation, manual handling and working at heights.

You will operate waste collection vehicles throughout north Brisbane, collecting waste from various commercial locations.

  • You must complete a pre-employment medical check, including drug & alcohol testing and a Police Check.

Requirements:
  • Hold a current unrestricted driver's licence for at least 24 months
  • Have at least 8 demerit points remaining
  • No heavy vehicle driving experience required
  • Be passionate about teamwork and customer service
