ASC is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical design expertise to ASC and the Royal Australian Navy in support of the Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) Life of Type Extension (LOTE) Program.
Key Responsibilities- Electrical Design and Integration: Provide technical direction throughout the design project lifecycle, including the design of new systems, system redesign, and sub-system/component design and integration.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare engineering documentation such as specifications, sketches, test procedures, and engineering reports.
- Review and Approval: Review and approve engineering artefacts to ensure compliance with ASC's quality standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work well within a multi-discipline team of engineers and technical personnel, and build and maintain interpersonal and professional relationships with stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar (Degree must satisfy membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia at MIEAust level).
- Experience: Experience in power distribution, control and monitoring, motors and drives, EMI/EMC, and systems engineering principles.
- Clearances: Current National Police Clearance, Australian Defence Security Clearance, and ability to access protected US defence technology.
