We provide medical care and rehabilitation services for injured native wildlife in the south metropolitan region. Our goal is to educate the public on environmental sustainability and support the development of strategic partnerships and programs to enhance and expand critical wildlife habitat.

Job Responsibilities

Preparation of food for a variety of animals, cleaning of cages, husbandry and enclosure maintenance, washing of dishes, laundry, perches, and equipment, sweeping and mopping of hospital facilities, weighing of animals, assisting in feeding animals, record keeping, enrichment and behavioural training, and transporting animals to and from zoos or other wildlife organisations.

Requirements

  • No prior experience is required; a passion for conservation and animal welfare is essential
  • A minimum commitment of one shift per week or fortnight is required
  • Volunteers must be over the age of 18 and have a tetanus vaccination
