
Heavy Diesel Mechanic Wanted

We are seeking a skilled heavy diesel mechanic to join our team and be responsible for maintaining, repairing and ensuring the efficient performance of our motor vehicle and plant fleet.
Applicants must have the necessary qualifications and experience to perform routine inspections, diagnose mechanical issues, and work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance, repair and upkeep of our motor vehicle and plant fleet;
- Performing routine inspections and diagnosing mechanical issues;
- Working collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient operations;
- Adhering to safety protocols and best practices in the workshop;
- A Trade Certificate as Heavy Vehicle Motor Mechanic, such as a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Mechanical Vehicle Technology;
- A SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card (White Card);
- Expertise and experience in petrol and diesel engines, vehicle electrical systems, general fleet maintenance/repair, manual, powershift and hydrostatic transmissions, hydraulic systems, plant/vehicle air conditioning systems, light/medium fabrication and earthmoving machinery maintenance and repair;
- The ability to inspect and repair highway equipment for registration purposes;
- Experience in the repair of all types of mechanical components;
- A National Licence to perform High Risk Work for Non-Slewing Mobile Crane (CN), Dogging (DG), Forklift (LF) and Elevating Work Platform (WP);
- A Licensed Automotive Air Conditioning Repairer;
- An Authorized RMS inspector for light and heavy vehicles;
- A NSW Class HR Drivers Licence, progressing to a NSW Class HC Drivers Licence;
