The Future Generation Joint Venture is a pioneering collaboration between WeBuild, Clough, and Lane, chosen to design and construct the Snowy 2.0 project in the picturesque Snowy Mountains of NSW. This monumental undertaking will deliver one of the world's largest pumped hydro schemes.
Snowy 2.0 represents a significant milestone in the Snowy Scheme's history, being Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. It will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for generations to come, cementing its place in Australian history.
Role OverviewThis role entails ensuring construction activities adhere to drawings, specifications, and documented procedures. The ideal candidate will utilize quality tools to identify nonconformities, document them, and implement corrective actions.
- Tertiary qualifications or a related field such as Civil Engineering are required.
- A White Card is essential.
The Construction Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for:
- Conducting quality inspections on site and subcontractors' worksites to ensure conformity with relevant ITPs and drawings.
- Collecting work lots and quality records.
- Drafting Non-Conformances Reports (NCR).
- Verifying the implementation of corrective and preventive actions proposed in the NCR.
- Defects management.
- Attending regular Quality and Construction meetings in their area of responsibility.
- Reviewing and consulting with the Site Operation Quality Coordinator on matters of surveillance and inspection regarding subcontracted works.
- Communicating and resolving any construction quality issues proactively with relevant site supervisors.
- Complying with FGJV policies and procedures as amended from time to time.
The above authorities and responsibilities serve as a guide and may change as directed by your Manager/Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.
About the RoleThis position requires working in remote challenging areas with extreme cold temperatures. Applicants must consider this aspect before applying.
