About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant to join our team at VMCH Corpus Christi Clayton. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with residents to identify strategies and opportunities that maximize engagement and promote healthy lifestyle practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with residents to develop and implement individualized leisure and lifestyle plans.
  • Organize and coordinate activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
  • Assess and review resident's leisure and health needs, and develop strategies to address these needs.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure that resident's needs are met and that they are able to participate in activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role in an aged care setting.
  • Certificate III in Leisure and Health or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Previous experience working in an aged care facility.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed prioritization and organizational skills.
