About the Environmental Advisor role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to support the implementation of environmental management plans and provide direction for managing local environmental risks within our Major Projects division in Western Australia.
As an Environmental Advisor, you will apply sustainability principles to create long-term economic value, develop and assist in the coordination, promotion, and implementation of sustainability projects, initiatives, and policies.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of environmental management plans.
- Provide direction for managing local environmental risks.
- Apply sustainability principles to create long-term economic value.
- Develop and assist in the coordination, promotion, and implementation of sustainability projects, initiatives, and policies.
- Develop partnerships with government agencies, business groups, stakeholders, and the community.
- Monitor construction activities to minimize environmental impact.
- Provide training and guidance on environmental policies and procedures.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in an Environment or Sustainability discipline or equivalent.
- Extensive previous experience in a similar position in the Civil Construction and/or similar projects.
- Sound understanding of Western Australian Environmental Legislation with proven ability to review and interpret relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice and contractual requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, reviewing, and adapting Erosion and Sediment Control Plans.
- Demonstrated ability in developing and interpreting project-related documents and preparing reports and monitoring compliance documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
- Australian driver's license.
