Graduate Research Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Graduate Research Assistant to join our team at the University of Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing cutting-edge digital and molecular phenotyping platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement digital and molecular phenotyping platforms for agricultural research
- Act as the key contact for researchers, coordinating and supporting data-driven approaches to plant phenotyping and data management
- Conduct lab and fieldwork, with a strong focus on spectral data acquisition, analysis, and management of research data in compliance with FAIR principles
- Tertiary qualifications and relevant experience in remote sensing, plant science, computer science, or data science
- Considerable relevant research experience at an appropriate level, including experience in agricultural lab work, fieldwork, and data collection
- Expertise in image-based and spectral data analysis, including hyperspectral sensing
- Proven ability to prioritize own workload and work both independently and as part of a team
