The Queensland Corrective Services seeks an experienced mental health professional to work within a correctional centre in Southern Queensland.
About the Role- This is a unique opportunity for a skilled Psychologist to deliver high-quality psychological services and support to adults with complex mental health needs.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential harm to self or others.
- Develop and implement tailored interventions to promote positive outcomes and reduce recidivism rates.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance overall service delivery and support individuals' recovery journeys.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Extensive experience working with adults with mental health conditions, cognitive impairments, or developmental disorders.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based rehabilitation strategies and risk assessment tools.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse client groups and stakeholders.
- General or provisional registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA (or eligibility to obtain registration upon commencement).
- Bachelor's degree (4-year minimum) in Psychology or Behavioural Science.
Queensland Corrective Services prioritises community safety through evidence-based rehabilitation and crime prevention initiatives.
