Real-Time Software Engineer Lead

This company is pushing the boundaries of technology to create innovative sensor systems that combine hardware, signal processing, and embedded intelligence.
The team is designing fielded sensor systems that are built and owned in Australia, with a focus on creating tech that works and is already in the hands of customers.
You will be leading a 5-person embedded software team delivering real-time sensing and control software, building new features, maintaining legacy systems, and ensuring everything shipped is ready for the field.
The role requires strong technical skills, including experience with embedded software/firmware development in real-time, multi-threaded environments and FPGAs.
You will also be responsible for managing team priorities, reviewing code, unblocking engineers, and aligning delivery with broader product goals.
About You
- Australian citizenship and NV1 clearance (or eligibility)
- 2–3+ years hands-on experience with embedded software/firmware development in real-time, multi-threaded environments and FPGAs
- Comfortable leading projects or small teams and coaching engineers through complexity
