Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Transactions Manager Insurance to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions related to insurance operations.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of local and international accounting standards, particularly IFRS17. They will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records related to insurance transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for insurance transactions, including premiums, claims, and reinsurance.
  • Contribute to month-end closing for insurance technical accounting.
  • Aid in the testing and implementation of the new accounting tool in 2025 for both Australia and New Zealand.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
