Director of Education and Community Engagement

About the Role

This is a key leadership position that requires a highly skilled and experienced educator to lead and manage educational programs in a secondary school setting.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leading and managing high-performing teams, as well as experience in designing and implementing quality teaching and learning programs that promote student wellbeing, engagement, and achievement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage educational programs across 7-12 to support diverse student needs, with a focus on curriculum reform and HSC monitoring.
  • Manage and nurture high-performing teams through respectful, empathetic leadership, reflective practice, and intentional support for staff resilience and professional development.
  • Design and implement contextually responsive community engagement initiatives to foster meaningful partnerships with students, parents, carers, and community stakeholders.
Selection Criteria
  • Satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position.
  • Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
  • Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
Requirements
