About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Industry Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Dandenong South location.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking various manufacturing duties, including:

  • Maintaining and repairing aluminium extrusion machines and ancillary equipment
  • Responding to general breakdowns and carrying out routine preventive maintenance work
  • Diagnosing faults and identifying appropriate actions to take
  • Interpreting hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical drawings
  • Disassembling and reassembling machinery as required
  • Performing welding, machining, and fabrication tasks

About the Shifts

This role involves working a standard 38-hour week, with the option to work afternoon or night shifts (3:00pm-11:00pm or 11:00pm-7:00am) with additional shift loading applied.

About you - Skills & Experience

  • You must be safety-focused and have a minimum of two years' experience as a maintenance fitter in a manufacturing environment
  • Trade qualifications are essential, along with good communication skills and knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • You should also possess intermediate computer skills and be able to work independently or as part of a team
  • A good attitude, hands-on approach, and some weekend availability are also required

Highly Desirable

  • A forklift license is required, and knowledge of PLC is an advantage
