Director of Health Information Services is a key role within the healthcare sector. As a seasoned professional in this field, you will oversee the strategic planning and operational management of health information services.
This position involves managing clinical records, clinical data management, corporate records management, clinical coding, and health information access services in both paper and digital environments.
In this leadership role, you will drive the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of health information services, ensuring alignment with organizational values and frameworks.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing departmental strategies to enhance health information services, driving innovation and improvement.
- Planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the operational management of health information services, including clinical records, clinical data, corporate records, clinical coding, and health information access services.
- Maintaining high-level knowledge of health information/records management developments to provide expert advice to stakeholders on related matters.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as health administration, information technology, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in health information services, preferably in a leadership or management capacity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinicians, executives, and other stakeholders.
