Child Protection Caseworker

Job Description

We are seeking experienced child protection specialists with excellent analytical, assessment and communication skills to join our team in a unique and highly visible multi-disciplinary program.

Caseworkers will be responsible for assessing safety and risk concerns for children and young people within a collaborative, child-focused practice that acknowledges and respects the culture and context of each individual.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' frontline experience in statutory child protection services or investigation services, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, applicants must demonstrate:

  • a strong attention to detail and highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
  • excellent interpersonal and self-management skills;
  • a valid driver's licence (P1 or above); and
  • a paid working with children clearance number.
