Job Description

We are seeking a Mining Operations Manager to oversee one of our premier sites based in West Burleigh. The successful candidate will lead all functionalities of the Quarry, specifically focusing on cost control, processing knowledge, production planning, drill and blast, and customer experience.

Key Requirements:

  • 5 years experience in mining or quarrying
  • Strong Knowledge of the Mining & Quarrying Safety & Health Act & Regs
  • Strong Knowledge of Pit planning, Slope Stability and Quarry Geotechnical Awareness
  • Strong Knowledge of hard rock quarrying and crushing processes
  • Ability to understand a P&L, plan and manage a budget
  • Proven leadership experience in Quarrying Operations or Mining
  • Strong leadership attributes including initiative to identify, manage, and solve issues as they arise
  • Experience developing and managing budgets including controlling expenditure and costs will be highly regarded
  • Experience in LEAN Manufacturing will be highly regarded
  • Appropriate Quarry management qualifications and/or tertiary qualifications
