About the Role:

We're seeking compassionate carers to join our care team at a well-established facility offering ensuite beds. Our homely atmosphere provides comfort to residents, including those living with dementia who require specialized support.

As a supportive aged care professional, you'll work closely with residents to support their daily living, social, and emotional needs. You'll share responsibility for the well-being of residents, providing person-centered care and enhancing their quality of life by ensuring they feel welcome and respected.

In this role, you'll assist residents with personal care needs, maintain or restore their independence, and complete accurate documentation as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with personal care needs like bathing, dental hygiene, dressing, grooming, and other personal care.
  • Support residents in maintaining or restoring their independence by assisting with activities of interest and mobility aids as needed.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation, reporting relevant information to Nursing, Allied Health, and Management as required.
  • Maintain effective workplace communication, demonstrating respect, openness to change, and kindness.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care (desired).
  • Experience working within an aged care setting as a carer.
  • Ability to relate to elderly customers with empathy and collaborate effectively with health professionals, service providers, and case managers.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills.
