**Job Opportunity:** Industry Research Manager

The role of the Industry Research Manager is to increase revenue from sources external to the University by working with faculties, schools, and research centres.

Key responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and submission of external research funding proposals, advising on financial, legal, and commercial matters, and negotiating mutually beneficial arrangements.

**Requirements for Success:)

  • A collegial professional with a strong ability to develop positive work relationships with academic and professional staff.
  • Education, training, or relevant experience equivalent to completion of postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Sophisticated understanding of commercial and intellectual property issues, including reviewing and negotiating legal contracts and agreements.
  • Knowledge of research and innovation preferably in a university environment, with experience critically appraising funding proposals.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to provide leadership to others in an environment of continuous improvement.
