About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Planner to join our team at AECOM. As a Water Planner, you will play a key role in delivering complex, large-scale projects that contribute to the development of sustainable water solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project delivery and contributing to the growth and maintenance of our Integrated Water Planning business.
  • Business development, including client engagement, proposal preparation, and bid management for clients such as major and regional urban utilities, developers, and local and state government.
  • Proactive delivery of high-quality and timely valued water network planning solutions that are focused on flexibility, sustainability, optimization, integration, whole-of-lifecycle cost, and acceptable risk.
  • Checking and review of project outputs, including project deliverables (calculations, specifications, reports) through to technical verification and peer review.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and maintaining a high-performing, engaged, and supportive team culture.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and consulting experience.
  • Demonstrated network planning experience that demonstrates the development and evaluation of options and proficiency in hydraulic network modeling of water and/or wastewater systems.
  • Understanding of current and potential future policy, practice, trends, technology, and information affecting water planning, including drivers, regulation, framework, and guidelines.
  • Proven track record in the successful delivery of large projects on time, within budget, and outstanding quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and high-quality technical and non-technical report writing.
  • Client relationship and management skills and experience.
