Job Opportunity: System Specialist

This role offers specialist system management and engineering expertise in support of a SCADA system and other high reliability, safety critical systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Investigating, managing and implementing corrections, enhancements and upgrades on supported systems.
  • Preparing system engineering documentation, policies and standards.
  • Developing proposals and estimates for system changes and improvements.
  • Supporting field maintenance staff in deploying system changes and resolving system issues.
  • Participating in projects and leading the creation of project engineering artefacts.

To succeed in this position, you will require:

  • An Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications or Information Technology degree, or certified equivalent international qualification.
  • Experience with PLC, SCADA RTU/Telemetry, IT/OT networking systems and protocols (Modbus, BACnet, SNMP).
  • Demonstrated experience integrating legacy systems.
  • Project Management and vendor performance management experience would be desirable.
  • A good understanding of electronic and electrical circuits.
  • Experience in providing system support including investigation, management and resolution of complex issues.
  • A good understanding of computer networks and protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to write technical documents and reports.
