Laundry Operations Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Laundry Services Assistant to join our team at VMCH. As a key member of our laundry operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the provision of clean and hygienic laundry services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, sort, wash, dry and distribute clothing/linen in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain adequate stocks of supplies at all times to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Ensure chemicals are available for washing and the correct wash cycle is used for all loads.
- Manage the handling of heavily soiled items in accordance with Infection Control Procedures.
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective communication and compassion.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience working in a commercial laundry facility and/or in a healthcare setting.
- Full-time availability and full-time work rights preferred.
