Job Description

The Mechanical Maintainer will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and perform all mechanical maintenance functions within the Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP), minimizing downtime while ensuring a strong commitment to health, safety, and the environment.

  • Provide safe and efficient assistance to enhance asset performance.
  • Perform mechanical fault finding and diagnostics work at the CHPP.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical fixed plant in accordance with relevant procedures and legislation.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A mechanical trade qualification.
  • 3+ years' experience in fixed plant operations.
  • Industrial experience conducting maintenance inspections, industrial installations, fault finding, and repair of equipment.
  • Previous experience in coal handling and processing plants.
  • Competencies in working at heights/confined space/elevated work platform (advantageous).
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to liaise and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Motivation with the ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
