About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Controls Specialist to join our team at Kilcoy. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for building and implementing an internal controls framework for our business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document and maintain internal control procedures to ensure compliance with our Group Control Policies.
  • Promote a strong culture of internal controls across our business units.
  • Lead the Control Self-Assessment process, ensuring all requirements are met, and any deficiencies are reported and rectified within 90 days.
  • Develop and provide controls training across our business units.
  • Develop and maintain tools and systems of internal control for business processes, monitoring, and tracking gap assessments.
  • Provide overall support, monitoring, and control over the implementation of global compliance initiatives.
  • Prepare a fraud management training policy and ensure that all managers are aware of fraud prevention policies.
  • Provide recommendations to our leadership for the enhancement of both efficiencies and effectiveness of control processes.
  • Coordinate activities between business units, functions, and other key players to address regulatory issues.
  • Lead the quarterly control owner certification and other compliance certification processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Commerce or related business degree.
  • CA/CPA/ACCA/CIA/CISA or other equivalent accreditation.
  • 3-5 years' experience in Internal or External Audit or similar role.
  • Large businesses experience.
  • An understanding of ERP systems.
  • Good business knowledge and working experience in the areas of process improvements and/or accounting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Worked with or understands Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • CAAT experience.
  • Vocational qualifications in Business Continuity Management/Risk Management.
  • Working knowledge of information technology (COBIT), project management, or quality management (ISO 9000).
  • MS Office - intermediate.
