Policy Researcher Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Researcher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for policy analysis and research.

The successful candidate will have the ability to conduct rigorous policy research, analysis, and strategic collaboration to support informed decision-making and system improvement within the education sector.


About the Role
  • Conduct policy research and analysis, including investigating and analysing issues and opportunities relating to education.
  • Implement strategies to maximise the influence of AERO's research on system programs and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high quality policy advice on a wide variety of issues in education, including schools, child and student outcomes, and evidence use in practice.
  • Prepare discussion papers, submissions, and briefs to inform decision making.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications (including diplomas or certifications) in public policy, public administration, education, education policy or a related field and/or relevant experience.
  • Experience and understanding of government policy processes and the ability to work within these frameworks.

Note
  • This is a full-time temporary contract until 30 June 2026.
