About the Role

Pink Hope is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telehealth Specialist Nurse to join our team. As a Telehealth Specialist Nurse, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals in managing their cancer risk and navigating the healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Patients in Navigating the Healthcare System

You will assist patients in understanding and managing their hereditary cancer risk by developing a holistic care plan and providing guidance on available services.

Support Medical Review and Content Development

You will work closely with medical professionals to review and develop content for campaigns and programs, ensuring that it is evidence-based and aligned with up-to-date guidelines.

Participate in Network Meetings and Quality Improvement Initiatives

You will participate in network meetings and quality improvement initiatives to ensure that our services are meeting the needs of our patients and stakeholders.

Engage in Nurse Education Programs

You will engage in nurse education programs to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in hereditary cancer risk management and telehealth.

Create Online Education Sessions

You will create online education sessions on topics relevant to the high-risk community, providing patients with access to accurate and reliable information.

Participate in Data Collection and Health Outcomes Reporting

You will participate in data collection and health outcomes reporting to ensure that our services are meeting their intended outcomes.

Evaluate Clinical Care and Resource Utilization

You will evaluate clinical care and resource utilization to identify areas for improvement and develop new clinical tools, forms, and procedures.

Conduct Administrative Tasks and Small Projects

Requirements
  • Expertise in Hereditary Cancer Risk Management

You will have expertise and/or excellent knowledge of hereditary cancer, breast/ovarian cancer, and the Australian health system.

Proficient Computer Skills

You will be proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel).

Minimum 5 Years Experience in a Clinical Setting

You will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical setting, with a strong understanding of the Australian health system.

Self-Disciplined and Energetic

You will be self-disciplined, energetic, passionate, and innovative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Confident Presenting and Communication Skills

You will be confident in presenting at educational events and webinars, with highly developed oral and written communication skills.

Ability to Maintain Confidentiality

You will be able to maintain confidentiality with all aspects of information in accordance with practice and local legislation/regulations.

Graduation from an Accredited University

You will have a Bachelor of Nursing Degree from an accredited university, with AHRPA registration.
