About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Sustainability Leader to drive our Responsible Business, Social Impact, and Community Engagement strategies across the APAC region. Reporting to the Director of Responsible Business in London, you will collaborate with key stakeholders and lead initiatives that create a lasting, positive impact in our communities.

Job Description

This 12-month Maximum Term Contract can be based in any of our Australian offices – Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, or Sydney. As a Business Sustainability Leader, you will:

  • Drive and embed the global community and social impact strategy across APAC, developing and managing community partnerships and increasing engagement with social impact and volunteering programs.
  • Oversee partnerships focused on First Nations communities, including key volunteering initiatives with organizations such as Clontarf and Yalari.
  • Lead social procurement efforts and support diverse supplier engagement, focusing on First Nations economic empowerment.
  • Collaborate with our Senior Sustainability Manager to raise awareness and deliver on our sustainability strategy in the APAC region.
  • Manage internal and external communications regarding Responsible Business initiatives and oversee reporting to various internal and external bodies.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience managing complex projects within a professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the Responsible Business landscape, including community engagement, social impact, diverse procurement, reconciliation, climate action, and modern slavery initiatives.
  • A demonstrated ability to successfully implement new strategies or programs, preferably across multiple locations.
  • Experience collaborating with and managing external partners and consultants.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a talent for building and nurturing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is AU$120,000 - AU$180,000, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including a holistic wellbeing fund and home office allowance.
