Your Career Opportunities:
This role is an exciting opportunity for a professional to excel in their career as a Coordinator Health Safety Environment and Training. You will be part of the operational leadership team, supporting successful delivery of training initiatives on site.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support operational teams in implementing Barminco safety management systems.
- Coordinate new starter arrivals, including logistics from airport arrival, camp, site familiarization, and introductions.
- Provide and facilitate on-site inductions to ensure employees, contractors, and client personnel are site compliant.
- Facilitate underground tours for new starters and visitors according to induction requirements.
- Identify hazards and risks proactively and conduct scheduled workplace inspections, task observations, CCFV's, and check-ins across various departments.
- Maintain training records, reports, and documents required to meet corporate, site, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist operational teams in upskilling operators working on site according to individual professional development progression plans.
- Review and update company and site procedures/safe work practices as necessary.
- Support UG Trainers with preparation of documentation for training and competency assessments.
- Facilitate and coordinate on-site D&A, fitness, and hydration testing.
- Complete weekly and monthly statutory refuge chamber inspections.
- Submit training course requests as directed by operational leaders and management.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience (underground mining experience desirable).
- WHS Cert IV or above.
- Training and Assessing - Certificate IV.
- Underground operational knowledge.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
