About the Role
The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a passionate and skilled educator to join our team as a Teacher - Early Childhood Education. This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025.

We are an independent public school catering for children in Kindergarten to Year 6. Our school motto, 'a sea of cultures', captures and celebrates our inclusive and culturally respectful approaches to our teaching and learning practices and community interactions.
Our school is located in the Pilbara, and is the largest of the four primary schools in the Hedland area. We offer programs in visual arts, physical education, science, music and Indonesian. We also have a highly valued academic enrichment program for children needing a bit more of a challenge.
We enjoy a high profile in the community, with dedicated, supportive and enthusiastic staff. Our committed teachers provide education across a range of programs, catering to individual differences through an inclusive and differentiated approach.
About the Position
The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate, motivated and skilled educator who is committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every child, every day, through our whole school approaches, explicit teaching and instructional strategies.
It is highly desirable that applicants are committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community. Applicants should possess a strong capacity to plan challenging and engaging programs using an excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum.
We are seeking applicants who are innovative and possess high quality teaching skills and knowledge. They will ideally be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole school processes and be collegial, effective collaborators.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
- Hold an eligible teaching qualification
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start
- Consent to and obtain a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit
